God's patent on Sunday expires
Looks like we won't be going to Church this morning. Trish likes to go on Saturday evening, but yesterday was a mess for us. She got up around 8:30-9:00-ish as usual & we watched her TV show we'd taped after a breakfast of French toast -- she wanted that rather than pancakes. Sabre had asked her to work Saturday, so after Battlestar Galactica we sat around & listened to the speakers while waiting for Fantastic Fred to take the Bumble Bee Girl to work.
Since she started work at 12:00, I mostly had a chance to look at my email & then took off for the Soup Kitchen, a place I avoided -- & leaving the house, period -- Friday cuz of the cold. I had a hearty meal & Gail took up a note we signed to Lillian, who'd had cancer surgery at the Invisible Hospital. Afterwards, I went out to Albertson's to pick up milk, eggs, cheese (singles that were on sale) & syrup. When I returned home I turned on the computer & then realized that I'd forgotten to buy soup, which Trish wanted for her lunch, so I returned to the grocery store for yet another time.
Then Fred called when it was 2:00, but Trish wasn't off yet, as she thought she'd be. Apparently, when Sabre asked Trish to work she meant 2:00-3:00, so Trish got in trouble with her boss. On top of everything else, the dishwasher had busted. Twice.
So Trish was Cranky Bear when Fred dropped her off. Just then Keith called, & I had to tell him to call back later. I had to calm Trish down, so after she ate her chunky sirloin burger soup I let her watch Charlie's Angels. After supper -- rewarmed spaghetti -- she wanted to take her bath while I tried to figure out SmartFTP, a program I downloaded so I could update my web pages. Then she wanted to watch the Olympics so I called Keith back & then Ed.
I went to bed early & slept soundly. Today Trish will be catching up with her cleaning & then we'll be going to El Taco Loco for lunch. It'll be a lazy day, & then we'll have pork loin for supper. We have an awful lot of meat in the freezer cuz Albertson's keeps having sales on it.
Well, Trish wants to type on her blog now, so I guess I'll be taking the Captain's chair & listening to the radio.
